10 Images Showcasing The Precise Moments When WWE Careers Ended

10. 'Fake' Razor Ramon Is Easily Eliminated From The 1997 Royal Rumble

Any time a wrestler's name has to be prefixed with "Fake" you know they're not going to have a long shelf life. In fact, it's fair to say that the career of 'Fake' Razor Ramon ended as soon as he debuted on with Jim Ross on the September 23, 1996 episode of Raw. Fans hated seeing this guy (Rick Bognar) doing this bad Razor impression. It made WWE look so cheap as they tried to replicate this character that people loved. Worse still was the fact that the man who portrayed the original Razor, Scott Hall, happened to be dominating WCW television as a founding member of the nWo. To nobody's surprise, the gimmick failed miserably. Fake Razor was the first guy tossed out of the 1997 Royal Rumble thanks to a couple of punches from Ahmed Johnson, who easily disposed of the imposter. He was gone from the company soon after that. At least Fake Diesel was repackaged as the much better Kane in 1997. Here we are 20 years later and Kane is still in a featured role on WWE television.
