10 Impact Vs. New Japan Matches We Need To See

5. Trey Miguel Vs. Robbie Eagles

Lo and behold, we couldn't stay away from the X Division and junior heavyweight division for too long, particularly when we still need to discuss Trey Miguel and Robbie Eagles.

Again, both men are superb in-ring talents who have done tremendous work in their respective divisions, yet, neither man has actually won the championship they so desire. They're two guys who don't really need a championship, though. Their work speaks for itself.

Trey became such a focal point of Impact Wrestling - to the extent he was main eventing one of the most important nights in company history for the World Championship - that his farewell from Impact alongside Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz was met with such a heartwarming reaction. Fans and wrestlers alike cared deeply.

Eagles, meanwhile, took a bit of a different approach. If you put it bluntly, he used the Bullet Club name and franchise as a way to break into New Japan. When he longer required the association, he simply left and joined CHAOS instead. You've got to love his hustle, really.

Like with the majority of matches we've spoken about, especially Chris Bey vs. El Phantasmo, you'd be settling in for a true cruiserweight classic here. Critics can call it flippy sh*t all they want, and fair enough, that's exactly what it is.

But damn, is it good.
