So Ronda Rousey is now the RAW Women's Champion. After decimating Alexa Bliss, who does she have to face at Evolution? According to Dave Meltzer on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is to have the all-women's PPV headlined by Rousey... vs. Nikki Bella.

Now granted, from a business standpoint, this makes total sense. Ronda and Nikki are the two biggest mainstream superstars they have, so for a one-time attraction for this historic PPV, I have no problem with it.

However, Ronda vs. Nikki is just a gimmick, and after it's done, Rousey needs a true credible opponent to fill her time until January when Charlotte inevitably wins the Rumble and challenges her.

Enter Shayna Baszler, now the former NXT Women's Champion and fellow horsewoman to Rousey. Much has been written about Ronda's impressive transition into wrestling, but Baszler should also be commended. From the Mae Young Classic to her run as NXT Women's Champion, Shayna has brought the same kind of grit and real-world intensity that has given her matches a much different feel from the standard WWE style.

A feud between Shayna and Ronda would have a natural story baked in and would bring the kind of believability that fans need to be interested in Rousey's title reign.
