10 Impulse Reactions Following WWE Elimination Chamber 2017

The Tuesday night announce booth has been the victim of some justifiable mockery lately, with the gags reaching their zenith recently following an image of seven performers calling the action.

It had irked fans enough that Tom Phillips had joined the crew as a 'host', tying the links together then sitting back to allow Mauro Ranallo to anchor the action, but the affable voice of NXT may find himself with greater responsibilities if Ranallo continues to have nights on the job like this.

Referring to the main event as 'Hell in a Cell' more than once on the show (and being forcibly corrected by JBL each time he did), Mauro also insisted upon inserting his usual superfluity of cultural references, and was particularly intent on ageing Mickie James beyond her years when discussing her generation of female superstars as if they predated WWE altogether.

Credibility at the desk fell further through the floor when JBL openly mocked the recent increase in bodies at ringside in the Orton/Luke Harper match, and David Otunga took a free shot at a stumble Bradshaw had made on his way to the ring.

Even without the screams of Vince McMahon bouncing off their eardrums, it didn't sound a great night to be wearing a SmackDown Live! headset.
