In a company robustly failing to create stars for the modern era of fans, leave it a collection of local heroes to steal the show merely by attending it.

Baltimore Orioles stars Adam Jones, Joey Rickard, Richard Bleier, Alex Asher, Donnie Hart and Caleb Jospeh made the best of their night at the wrestling, cosplaying as famous WWE superstars from bygone eras.

Alongside Steve Austin, Jimmy Hart, IRS and fittingly, Ted Dibiase, Jones gobbled up the scenery as Virgil, sporting the full red and white cutoff suit alongside a surly pose when Kevin Dunn cut to him for the traditional celebrity beauty shot.

Baltimore locals came unglued for Jones, as did social media at his wonderfully obscure reference and commitment to the part when on camera.

In delighting wrestling fans if only for one evening, he even became a bigger star within the confines of the industry than his Cincinnati Bengals namesake Adam 'Pacman' Jones, who 'wrestled' for TNA in a desperate grab for mainstream attention from the Orlando outfit. The failed experiment was hastily swept under the rug by the group immediately after his unceremonious exit.
