10 Incidents That Cost WWE Stars Their Big Push

9. Mr. Perfect Challenges Brock Lesnar To A Wrestling Match On The "Plane Ride From Hell"

Often regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers to never win a World Championship, "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig was one of the many people involved in the now-infamous "Plane Ride From Hell" After returning as a surprise entrant in the 2002 Royal Rumble, Hennig was resigned to WWE and seemed like he never missed a beat. However, on the May 5th flight from the UK back home to America, he got into an altercation with current WWE World Heayweight Champion, Brock Lesnar. The story goes that after some good natured ribbing over who was the better amateur wrestler, Hennig challenged Lesnar to a mid-flight tussle and became increasingly incensed that he couldn't get the better of the rookie, to the point that the two had to be pulled apart by officials. Hennig was released from the company, and unfortunately less than a year later, he passed away.
