10 Incredible Dream Matches NJPW Will Give Away In The 2018 G1 Climax

8. Kazuchika Okada Vs. Jay White

Kota Ibushi Kenny Omega

'Switchblade' Jay White has made no secret of his twisted intentions to wreak havoc in Kazuchika Okada's CHAOS stable from within, with New Japan's 2018 booking positioning him as an unlikely threat to virtually every major force on the current roster.

Rebounding from a disappointing loss to Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom, White emphatically rebuffed Kenny Omega's offer to join Bullet Club, taking his United States Title in the process in a first time victory over the 'Best Bout Machine'.

Understandably, 'The Rainmaker' looked on concerned - he had given his mind body and soul to beating Omega only once over three grueling battles in 2017 - 'Switchblade's victory was a mammoth shot across the bow. A dark horse to win the entire A Block despite competition from the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and other strong competitors, there'll be no greater statement of intent than a victory over the greatest titleholder in the company's history.
