5. Goldust Offers To Get Breast Implants

He might be little more than a card-filler at this stage in his career, but Goldust was one of the Attitude Era’s most talked-about characters. His flamboyant persona is as memorable as it is bizarre, and while his ambiguous sexual overtones were eventually toned down as part of WWE’s shift towards a more family-friendly product, Dustin Runnels was entirely committed to the act: so committed, in fact, that he offered to permanently alter his body for the sake of a TV character.

“You know what Goldust wanted to do one time? He wanted breast implants!” These words might sound ridiculous, but they came straight from Vince McMahon himself. Apparently, Goldust had approached him with the idea when he was worried about his career’s direction, and wanted to do something to make him stand out.

McMahon ultimately declined, but Vince Russo later suggested that Goldust would have absolutely done it had the Chairman paid him $1 million dollars, and the the boss took it under legitimate consideration. Runnels has done plenty of things to get his character over that most other performers wouldn’t even consider, but while the implants would’ve certainly helped him "stand out", Vince probably made a wise decision in saying “no.”
