Although JBL seems to have evened out a lot over the past several years, he used to have a reputation as a bully and a troublemaker. Once day, the Superstar - then known as Bradshaw - decided to amuse himself by picking on Steve Blackman. Though Blackman was smaller than Bradshaw, the martials arts-style worker - with a legitimate background in tae kwon do and the Filipino art of escrima - was not the right person for Bradshaw to target. According to The Blue Meanie's shoot interview, Blackman took Bradshaw down with some punches, then looked set to knock the future WWE Champion's lights out with a hard kick. Before he could throw the kick, however, his leg got caught on a bag. The fight fizzled out after that, but it was clear to all onlookers that Blackman got the better of his larger opponent. After that, Bradshaw kept a safe distance from "The Lethal Weapon."
