WCW was a madhouse during its dying days, and the fight between Diamond Dallas Page and Scott Steiner was proof of that. An issue between Steiner and Page's wife, Kimberly, reared its head on TV when "Big Poppa Pump" started cutting a shoot promo on Page and Kim. DDP, knowing full well that he wasn't likely to get the better of Steiner in a fight, nevertheless confronted the wild grappler in the back. Page slapped on a front facelock, managing to immobilize Steiner, but when the two were separated, Steiner tore away from the pack. He went wild on DDP, taking him down and pounding on him before attempting to rip out his eyes. Thankfully, the two were separated once again before any lasting damage could be done. Page, who was applauded for his bravery if not his success, later claimed that he looked like Freddy Krueger when it was all said and done.
