10 Insane Things You Missed When You Stopped Watching NXT

8. Karrion Kross: Supernatural Character

WWE is desperate to make something supernatural happen.

They absolutely love it. Despite capably presenting a horror show most weeks, they often want to do it on purpose. From anecdotal experience, this approach to wrestling was never that popular. The Undertaker is a WWE legend, obviously, but nobody in comprehensive or high school during the Attitude Era ever said "rest in peace" when d*cking around with their mates. They tried to give each other Stunners and told teachers to suck them off.

WWE has proceeded undaunted in their attempts to get another supernatural act over.

Mordecai was a weird Undertaker doppelgänger, Bray Wyatt a b*llocks-spouting cult leader who could teleport anywhere except onto the torsos and shoulders of main event talents for three seconds. The Fiend was a disastrous experiment who in storylines ended up unwittingly playing the role of a predator (!).

And then, when NXT realised that it couldn't compete as the fashionable wrestling brand, they repackaged Scarlett Bordeaux as a sorceress who was able to use magick and cast a fireball into a Keith Lee Vs Karrion Kross match contract in the unfathomable summer of 2020.

"Egads!" Keith Lee said as the fireball engulfed him.

"My maxilla is being incinerated!"
