10 Insane Wrestling Gimmicks That Morphed Into Another Level

4. The Oddities

The Oddities began life as 'The Parade Of The Human Oddities', a heel stable led by the Jackyl that incorporated Howard Stern Show regulars Hank The Angry Drunken Dwarf and Crackhead Bob, the former of whom said the word "F*ck" several times on Monday Night RAW. It was deeply condescending stuff, particularly since Jackyl asked Hank to describe his being ironically voted the World's Most Beautiful Person "in eloquent fashion".

"Well, it made me feel f*cking great," he replied.

Completed by the "deformed" Golga, Princess Luna, and Giant Silva - "a genetic misfit, to be sure" - and later by Kurrgan, the Oddities faction was pitched as a band of losers using a toxic blend of societal disgust, and the self-loathing it fostered, as sick motivation to violently mangle the WWF's undercard. But, predating Michael Cole's bullsh*t, you know what they say about disfigured freaks with psyches scorched by helpless neglect and loneliness: they just love to have fun!

Reimagined as a group of fun-lovin' misfits spurred into seeing life differently by Sable, who waved their hands in the air like they just didn't care about being considered vermin, the Oddities were over in an Adam Rose sort of way, for a time.

They simply petered out months later, banished once more to the cruel fringe of society, as Sable went on to laugh about them in Brock Lesnar's farmyard palace.
