1. Has Already Fought And Feuded With Many WWE Talents
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZt01rQmZm4 In recent years, the WWE has finally started to look seriously at the independent wrestling scene in terms of signing up talent. For years fans talked with great excitement about the likes of CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, with both winding up as major players within Vince McMahons organisation. Similarly, the likes of Colt Cabana, Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, El Generico, Prince Devitt, KENTA, Somoa Joe and PAC were darlings of the IWC. Cabana would come and go, as would Hero, but Castagnoli is now Cesaro, El Generico is Sami Zayn, Devitt is Finn Balor, KENTA is Hideo Itami, Samoa Joe is arriving in WWE/NXT imminently, and PAC is obviously Neville. These warriors of the canvas and the road all have a tight bond and sense of friendship, with most having been through the same gruel to get to the big dance and many of them often making the struggle alongside each other. With how NXT has been developed over the last few years, both in terms of recruitment and presentation, it feels as if there is a fresh group of guys ready to take over the WWE, all who have travelled the same path and are hungry at finally getting their chance in the big time. As well as battling those he has travelled the roads with, Neville has also had tangles with talents like Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Tyson Kidd, Dean Ambrose, Heath Slater, Titus ONeill, Tyler Breeze, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas and The Ascension. Such a strong bond and familiarity with each others in-ring style can only bode well for the future of the WWE and the wrestling industry, as highlighted by some of the stellar matches that we've been treated to in NXT. At the front of this pack is Neville, and he is one of those rare talents who can make a match with anybody seem memorable, whether its someone hes battled previously or a new opponent. Just let him do his thing and be prepared to have your mind blown.
Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics.
As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic.
Between his main dayjob, his role as the lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Adrienne Barbeau, Rob Zombie, Katharine Isabelle, Leigh Whannell, Bruce Campbell, and Tony Todd, to Kevin Smith, Ron Perlman, Elijah Wood, Giancarlo Esposito, Simon Pegg, Charlie Cox, the Russo Brothers, and Brian Blessed, to Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Tara Strong, Will Friedle, Burt Ward, Andrea Romano, Frank Miller, and Rob Liefeld, to Bret Hart, Sting, Mick Foley, Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayer, Britt Baker, Eric Bischoff, and William Regal, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, Brian Flynn, Denis Smith, Gary Bennett, Karl Connolly, and Bryan Robson - and that's just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg.
