Dolph Ziggler's match against Dean Ambrose was stuck amongst a glut of top-line bouts at SummerSlam 2016. Even though Ziggler and Ambrose were contesting the latter's WWE World Heavyweight Title, their showdown didn't come across as comparative to the likes of AJ Styles vs. John Cena or the aforementioned Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton brawl.

When asked about which current WWE star he feels he could have worked wonders with back in the WCW days, Eric Bischoff coolly answered with one name. That man would turn out to be Dolph Ziggler, someone Bischoff believes has all the necessary tools to be a main event performer in WWE.

Eric couldn't put his finger on exactly why Ziggler hasn't reached his full potential, but did say that it's a crying shame. In Bischoff's mind, Dolph has more than the selling skills many cite, pointing out that his natural charisma is often overlooked by the vast majority watching.

Ric Flair recently extolled his own praise for Ziggler on his own podcast, so it's interesting that Bischoff sees things the exact same way.
