4. Radical Revolution
The common thought process surrounding men like Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn and Chris Benoit is that they had all the talent in the world, but WCW was festooned with aging stars like Hulk Hogan, DDP, Kevin Nash and others, making it almost impossible for that initial quartet to break into the main event scene. Whether or not such a glass ceiling actually existed in WCW (and most feel it did) didn't matter, on one night in January, 2000, WWE made all four men bigger stars than they ever had been in Atlanta. Sitting at ringside during a tag encounter pitting The New Age Outlaws vs. Al Snow and Steve Blackman, the foursome made quite the impact. Announced as free agents by commentator Jim Ross, the group would become known as The Radicalz, and started out as babyfaces who were friends with WWF Commissioner Mick Foley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAed9W9XnPY It wasn't long before it became clear the likes of Malenko and Saturn wouldn't be in the main event mix, and the stable turned heel and splintered somewhat, but on their debut night, all were on form, hitting their signature moves and laying waste to their new peers.
