10 Lamest WWE WrestleMania Main Eventers

9. Ted DiBiase - WrestleMania 4

In the boom era of eighties professional wrestling, Vince McMahon had numerous megastars he could have utilised in the WrestleMania 4 main event opposite Macho Man Randy Savage. He could have used Hulk Hogan, he could have used Andre The Giant, he could have even used an Ultimate Warrior or Jake Roberts if he had felt really bold. But instead he went with... Ted DiBiase. While a sound worker and memorable character, DiBiase wasn't quite at the level of the main event star standard set by Hogan and Andre a year earlier. Even the booking admitted he was lame, putting him in the main event via a semi final bye in the WrestleMania title tournament. As for the event poster, it featured Hogan and Andre, which really should have been the main event in a huge rematch from Mania 3. Almost in an admission that the main event was lame, McMahon booked Hogan to give Savage a huge assist in defeating DiBiase. Andre The Giant was also involved, as if to say "here's Andre and Hogan to make up for the lack of star power."
