10 Last-Minute WWE Backlash 2016 Rumors You Need To Know
4. Baron Corbin And Kane Get Face To Face
Baron Corbin picked up a win over Dolph Ziggler at Money in the Bank, but since then, things have been quiet for "The Lone Wolf." Prior to SummerSlam, he started feuding with former United States Champion Kalisto, but their feud has been more on-again-off-again than presented with any measure of consistency.
The two were reportedly scheduled to meet at SummerSlam, but an injury to Kalisto forced a change of plans. Kalisto is still on the shelf, having not competed in over a month. Corbin is once again directionless.
Still, there are only six matches currently scheduled for Backlash, and there are three hours to kill (more, if you count a potential pre-show match). Given all that time, it's not hard to imagine WWE devoting a few minutes to getting Corbin on the Pay-Per-View.
Corbin and Kane had a brief staredown on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago. While it may be too early for a Pay-Per-View match between the two men, they could easily have another (more physical) confrontation here, building to a match at No Mercy.
