10 Last-Minute WWE Backlash 2017 Rumours You Need To Know
1. Rusev Machka
Rusev was drafted to the Smackdown brand in the Superstar Shake Up, but thanks to an injury, he has yet to appear on the Tuesday show. Instead, he has released videos specifically addressing Shane McMahon, and demanding that the Smackdown commissioner gift him a WWE Championship match at Money in the Bank.
So far, McMahon hasn't replied to Rusev, leaving "The Bulgarian Brute" frustrated. Perhaps now, it's time for Rusev to take matters into his own hands. After Randy Orton defeats Jinder Mahal in Backlash's main event, it's very possible that Rusev could make his grand return, running in the ring and laying "The Viper" out with a thrust kick and the Accolade.
That, in turn, will give Rusev his wish - he'll be scheduled for a WWE Championship match with Orton at Money in the Bank. Could we be looking at the first step in a Rusev title reign? Let's hope so, and let's hope it begins at Backlash.
