7. John Cena Challenges Jinder Mahal
John Cena's return to SmackDown and subsequent feud with Rusev hasn't exactly been the stuff of fantasy booking. Fans have seen the two men clash before, and they've seen Cena as the de facto defender of the United States time and time again.
Unfortunately, Cena's status as top patriot won't be changing anytime soon. While a win over Rusev in Battleground's flag match is a foregone conclusion, it's been rumored that his next feud will be with WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, setting up yet another USA vs. the world feud for SummerSlam, with the tease that Cena could get his 17th world championship.
The show could close with Cena coming face to face with a triumphant Mahal, but it's pretty unlikely. After all, Mahal will be fresh off of the Punjabi Prison match, and will probably be selling the brutality of the bout by simply stumbling to the back. This one will have to wait until SmackDown to materialize.
