3. Triple H Makes His Presence Felt

In a rumor that largely contradicts the idea that Kevin Owens could lose his Universal Championship, reports suggest that Triple H is set to appear at Clash of Champions, and if he does, it’ll be to help KO retain.

Hunter obviously played a huge role in Owens winning the title by turning on Seth Rollins and nailing The Architect with a Pedigree a few weeks ago, but he’s not appeared on Raw since. Owens has continued referring to Triple H as a mentor and ally since becoming champion, but Triple H’s role remains muddy and unclear, though he’s almost certainly against Rollins at this point.

This is an extremely plausible rumor, particularly given the complete lack of any explanation by The Game thus far. If WWE are heading towards the rumored Rollins vs. Triple H WrestleMania match, they need to keep the feud rumbling along at a steady pace, and having H cost Seth the Universal Title again is a logical way to keep it moving forward.

Triple H will almost certainly be in the building regardless, and at this stage, it seems highly unlikely that he won’t make an appearance at Clash of Champions. As much as Owens needs clean wins at this point, WWE are clearly treating the Triple H/Rollins saga with more importance.
