10 Last-Minute WWE Fastlane Rumors You Need To Know

3. Alberto Del Rio Wins The U.S. Championship

Alberto Del Rio and U.S. Champion Kalisto have been feuding since the beginning of the year, and the result has been three title changes. At Fastlane's pre-show, they'll battle in a two out of three falls match with the belt on the line, and presumably blow off their feud. Common sense would dictate that Kalisto, an exciting young star who's finally getting the push he deserves, keeps the title - after all, Del Rio was a flop as U.S. Champion, bringing the title down after John Cena's credibility-reestablishing reigns. Do WWE decision-makers see Kalisto as a permanent fixture competing with heavyweights, though? Or is he simply getting a trial push, only to fall back into the tag division or wait for the rebirth of the Cruiserweight Title? Alberto Del Rio has been tepid since coming back to WWE, but there's always the chance that the company simply wants to use the championship as a prop around his waist - after all, they already did it twice.
