10 Least Likely WWE Ladder Match Competitors Ever
1. Big Show
It's hardly surprising that WWE chose to keep Big Show away from ladders for so long. After all, there was no guarantee that the ladder itself wouldn't break, rendering the match pointless, due to Paul Wight's incredible stature. Show definitely didn't fit the type of performer who suited ladder match stipulations.
When he moved to the ECW brand in the summer of 2006, however, he pretty much had to compete in matches with a hardcore bent to them. Show - then ECW Champion - had his first ladder match with Rob Van Dam on the October 24th episode of ECW on Syfy.
The rules of this particular ladder match gave Show an excuse not to climb the damn things, as it wasn't for the ECW Title, but rather an open contract to face Show for the strap, with RVD naming the desired time and place if he could secure it. Which he did, after ten unremarkable minutes of action.
Show wouldn't hadn't had another singles ladder match since then, but he has found himself in a couple more multi-man ladder matches, the pick of them being the creative JeriShow versus DX World Tag Team Title TLC match from the 2009 pay-per-view of the same name.
The giant has also competed in a couple Money in the Bank ladder matches (2010 and 2012), introducing his own giant-sized, specially reinforced ladder. That was a truly inspired touch.
