10 Legendary Wrestlers Who Grappled Bears

7. The Destroyer

Dick Beyer was a masked wrestler who performed under the ring name 'The Destroyer'. He rose to prominence in the 1950s and '60s.

In 1981 The Destroyer decided to take on none other than Victor the Wrestling Bear.

Fortunately for the Destroyer, Victor didn't appear to act overly aggressively during this particular encounter. In fact, Victor almost seemed to be playing with the masked grappler. That being said, Victor was able to catch his opponent with a couple of nice bear hugs during the course of the match.

The contest ended when the dastardly Destroyer used an illegal forearm against the poor bear. Apparently, forearms were illegal in this particular match-up, thus the masked grappler ended up being disqualified.

Victor's handler came into the ring after the end of the match and hit The Destroyer with a chain for good measure.
