10 Legendary Wrestlers Who Just Couldn't Face Retirement

1. Terry Funk

Terry Funk Japan Funker Is there any active professional wrestler who has retired more times than Terry Funk? Answers on a postcard, but if so, the Funker must come damn close to the record. First calling a halt to his career in 1983, Funk has "retired" more than a few times since then, but always comes back. If the wrestling business is indeed a drug, Terry Funk is one of the biggest users - unable to stay away from grappling, the words 'Funk' and 'retirement' almost go together to form an elaborate practical joke, one that's been running for over 30 years. Incredibly still taking bookings, Funk turned 70 in June, 2014. As morbid as it perhaps sounds, will Funk continue to wrestle right up until he passes, just like Mae Young? Or, will he shock the world by actually retiring for good someday? One thing's for sure, not many fans believe the legend when he does talk about throwing in the towel. What other wrestlers can you think of who defied the odds, and simply can't retire from the wrestling industry? Do you agree with the choices on this list? Let us know down in the comments below!
