10 Lessons WWE Can Learn From Its Audience-Free Shows

3. Authority Figures Are Definitely Missed

Well, we never thought we'd say this. With WWE clearly struggling to fill a three-hour RAW on Monday nights, everything feels a tad directionless. Matches are happening (not many of them) and Superstars are cutting promos, but once WrestleMania has been and gone, what will we be building towards?

Having Paige pop up on SmackDown via Skype to tell Bayley that her "friends" at Fox have allowed her to book a match is, quite frankly, idiotic, and having a babyface authority figure to root for as he makes life difficult for WWE's most hated heels would be no bad thing at the moment.

How about Triple H? He was an undeniable highlight during that first audience-free SmackDown, and the response to his antics on social media was so positive that WWE brought him out for the rest of the show. As he's basically the guy in charge of the Performance Center, having him take charge now makes sense, and it's something that can continue when crowds are able to return.

The way things are playing out at the moment should teach WWE that their shows need to be built around some sort of authority figure, and the aimless efforts we've endured in recent weeks no longer being the case once things return to normal is a must.
