2. Dario Cueto Is Gold
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cGubCyBcWw The best "heel owner" since Vince McMahon is Dario Cueto. The character of the megalomaniac owner of an underground fighting league is played to perfection by Luis Fernandez-Gil, an actor with 12 years of experience who really dove into the role of Cueto with two feet and delivered every time. Pro wrestling is a closed shop for the most part, an industry where being of the business usually means that you're going to exceed those not "of the business" in performance. That wasn't the case here. Should WWE be looking for actors willing to get into the role of being non-wrestling personalities entails? Possibly. However, again, in being willing to have a little bit of fun and sustainably think outside of the box, Lucha Underground did something that WWE has actually been less than successful at doing with their on-screen presentation.
