3. Kevin Owens Is An A**hole. That's Wonderful.
Kevin Owens went to Japan as the NXT Champion. He's leaving Japan without the championship, but he's left the country with many key pieces added to his legacy.For as much as this match was all about Finn Balor being awesome, it's because Kevin Owens is so excellent at being a miserable prick that made Balor that much greater. Kevin Owens isn't doing anything that wrestlers haven't done before. It's just that nobody's done them with such honest verve in this generation that makes him special. Owens threw his ceremonial championship bouquet into the aisleway. He also told the people of Japan that he didn't like their country, and then mockingly bowed at the people while he was getting heat on Balor. Kevin Owens is having a lot of fun being a terrible person, and for this we should be glad.
