10 Lessons WWE WrestleMania 36 Needs To Learn From WrestleMania 35
2. More Appropriate Celebrity Appearances
As alluded to earlier, once WrestleMania season comes around Vince McMahon is quite happy to lean into the entertainment aspect of his product more than he does at any other point in the year.
By that I mean that he is often prepared to throw big names from outside of the wrestling bubble at WWE fans around the world during this period, in the hope that their presence helps give WWE a much needed shot of pop culture relevance.
Sometimes this works and Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather's appearances at 'Mania have both definitely aided in bringing more eyes to the product and drawing in some of that all important mainstream publicity.
Yet, the reason these celebrity appearances worked as well as they did was because these legends were from the realms of the sporting world and that meant that they were also able to legitimately throw down in the ring. Whereas - as evidenced at 'Mania 35 - the presence of Colin Jost and Michael Che only worked as a way of poking fun at the company, which is never a good look on your biggest show of the year.
Tyson Fury is already being lined up for a match at this year's event, which is a good start - even if his in-ring work and mic skills could use a tune-up - so if WWE were to add a few more special appearances in the vein of that then at least fans wouldn't find themselves cringing at some random SNL goobers who have no place in a wrestling ring.
