10 "Little Guys" Who Should Have Been WWE Champion
7. X-Pac
For all of his outside-the-ring demons and locker room troubles, the one criticism you can never throw at Sean Waltman is that he couldn't perform in the ring. In fact, you'd have to dig pretty deep to find a bad match from his decade spent between WWE and WCW.
Waltman was always positioned as an underdog because of his size, and used that to his advantage in his earlier days as the 1-2-3 Kid, holding his own against the likes of Razor Ramon and Bret Hart.
In fact, in only his second year with the company, he scored a match against Hart for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which remains one of the greatest main events in the history of Raw. No, seriously.
But then...poof. All of his opportunities at the title somehow just vanished.
Even as he proved time and time again over the course of his career that he could hang with the big boys, having a series of excellent matches with Triple H, Kane, Chris Benoit, and even The Rock.
But just as he'd start getting some momentum going for himself, they'd toss him into a match with Kane's girlfriend Tori just, to make sure he knew his place. Which was, apparently, nowhere near the WWE Championship.
