All in all, the War of the Worlds show in NY was great, and reports from the other shows on the tour indicated that fans were similarly pleased. For the third year, Ring of Honor and New Japan had great success together stateside.

The arrangement between the two companies has allowed hardcore wrestling fans in the United States and Canada to see some of New Japan's top stars live, and it's let ROH's stars ply their trade in Japan, but it's about more than that. The real fruit of the partnership has been a multi-continental wrestling supergroup, the second-largest wrestling body on the planet.

The result, of course, has been more of the best wrestling imaginable. As much talent as WWE has picked up over the past few years, New Japan and ROH combined are more than their match. The two companies put on the best shows and matches in the sport, and the partnership means that fans of each group are more easily able to see the product of the other.

This alliance has already borne major fruit, and there's surely more to come.
