Cedric Alexander's loss to Donovan Dijak was disappointing, but it wasn't unexpected - it had already been announced that the bout would be his final match with Ring of Honor. Fans chanted "Please don't go," during and after the match, and following his loss, Alexander thanked us all.

The wrestling world is really Cedric Alexander's oyster. The star is only 26 years old, but he's been in ROH for five years, racking up an impressive body of work. He's a hard-hitting wrestler with aerial ability, and furthermore, he's great at controlling a match as a ring general.

Rumor has it that Alexander's next step is going to be the WWE Cruiserweight Classic. He hasn't officially been announced for the tournament yet, but it's been rumored for a while and Dave Meltzer has said he's in. He's also going to be working for EVOLVE, which of course, has a close relationship with WWE.

The thing is, Alexander is good enough to go anywhere he wants. He'd be an incredible addition to NXT (and then WWE), or he'd fit right in to New Japan's Junior Heavyweight division. If he wanted to, he could even decide to go right back to Ring of Honor. Any promotion on Earth would be lucky to have him.
