10 Live Observations From WWE SmackDown In St. Paul

2. Fans Are Surprisingly Okay With Pre-Meditated Corpse Burning

Unless you were in one of the front rows at the arena, you couldn’t see Wyatt’s pained expressions as Randy Orton destroyed his property...and the corpse of his sister. Still, Orton going to the Wyatt compound and not only burning the thing to the ground, but desecrating a woman’s corpse (and since it was Bray’s “sister”, I’m guessing she was pretty young when she died?) was received in positive fashion. The fans ate it up. Corpse burnings for all!

I mean, Steve Austin did some pretty sketchy things as a babyface, like destroying his bosses’ property on multiple occasions, but he didn’t set a damn corpse on fire! I just don’t see how this can make Orton the good guy in the situation.

By the end of the segment, though, The Viper (who wasn’t even in the arena) received loud “Randy! Randy!” chants as SmackDown went off the air. A few people probably were reflecting on what they'd just seen, but the majority of the fans were all in. Meanwhile, Wyatt looked like he was suffering through the worst emotional pain of his life.

Hopefully the police launch an investigation and lock Orton up.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
