10 Loudest Pops In WWE Royal Rumble History

2. Edge Returns (2010)

The Royal Rumble has played host to dozens of memorable returns over the years, but few resonated as strongly as Edge's almighty 2010 comeback, which drew a pop so loud it almost reduced Atlanta's Philips Arena to the rubble.

The set-up was perfect. 'The Rated R' superstar became a record 12-time Tag Team Champion when he and Chris Jericho captured SmackDown's belts seven months prior, but Edge tore his achilles tendon a few weeks later. Sidelined for the foreseeable future, Edge was replaced by Big Show as Jericho's partner. 'Y2J' wasn't happy, though. He savaged his former friend, and ripped into him for the injury, effectively turning Edge babyface while still on the treatment table.

Edge wasn't advertised for the Rumble, but while some fans had an inkling that he was about to return, the match itself seemed like an ambitious goal after such a serious injury. Thus, jubilation was guaranteed as soon as Alter Bridge belted through the speakers.

'The Rated R Superstar' won the match, eliminating Jericho in the process, but ultimately failed at WrestleMania. Regardless, the comeback itself was extremely well-played, and remains one of the Rumble's greatest moments ever.
