10 Ludicrous Things In Wrestling We’ll Tragically Never See
6. The Undertaker Vs Sting
The Undertaker and Sting were 'shipped for years by wrestling fans salivating at the prospect of the one of the final dream matches for 'The Deadman' during a time where most felt his WrestleMania streak would never be broken.
Ignoring potential in-ring foibles, the showmanship, shared characteristics and dynamic presentation typically provided by WWE's bells and whistles production virtually guaranteed a gloriously memorable spectacle.
As a WCW original and TNA mainstay, it genuinely seemed as though Steve Borden would never agree to terms with WWE, and when Brock Lesnar shockingly flattened The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, much of the intrigue in any future Undertaker matches was diluted.
That said, Sting's eventual arrival as a 'vigilante' in November 2014 offered the promise of the match regardless, especially if the company wished to rehabilitate Undertaker's persona with a probable victory over his late-90s Atlanta counterpart.
Instead, he was programmed first with Triple H at WrestleMania 31, then with Authority sweetheart Seth Rollins in a 'Night of Champions' match that would ultimately prove his last after suffering a frightening neck injury off a buckle bomb.
Undertaker's trajectory was somehow even less inspiring, as he engaged in dismal WrestleMania displays against Bray Wyatt and Shane McMahon before ostensibly retiring after a regrettably poor passing-of-the-torch battle with Roman Reigns.
