All Elite definitely got away with booking MJF and Adam Cole in the pre-show this year, but they shouldn’t make a habit of that. You wouldn’t see Roman Reigns working the WrestleMania Kickoff show, for example, and there's a good reason for that. Back to an aforementioned young fan mentioned in the prior entry for a second.

He told his pal that it was disappointing to see MJF and Cole twice on the same show.

The dude didn't elaborate, but he was probably referencing the fact that their main event entrances didn't feel quite as special because...they'd already been showcased once earlier in the night. Their actual match perhaps should've been the first time fans saw Max and Adam, especially if MJF was going to perform a killer entrance.

Yes, AEW got away with it, but there's no need to repeat the trick. Building up the headliner as some major reveal fans wait to watch is smart. The company likely won't have a double act as unique as 'Better Than You, Bay Bay' next year anyway.
