10 MAJOR Improvements WWE Have Already Made In 2018
1. WrestleMania
WWE's Road to WrestleMania 34 was exceptional, with one of the most successful builds in recent memory producing a card that looked like one of the all-time greats on paper.
The event itself didn't quite hit that mark, but perhaps that was impossible, given the format. How do you craft a seven-hour wrestling show without inconsistencies? It's a fool's errand, but 'Mania 34 was a net positive regardless, and considerably stronger than the previous year's offering.
Ronda Rousey's debut was electric, and her mixed tag bout understandably finished as many peoples' match of the night. Throw the excellent Intercontinental Title scramble, Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka, The Undertaker's perfect squash of John Cena, and Daniel Bryan's emotional return into the mix, and you're left with a show crammed with highlights.
Your mileage may vary on the World Title matches and calling the Braun Strowman/Nicholas situation objectively bad is an easy argument, but while these lowlights shouldn't be ignored, this year's 'Show Of Shows' demonstrated that WrestleMania's spectacle is alive and well. 34 was an eventful wrestling carnival with something for everyone, and a pay-per-view only the most curmudgeonly fans would loathe outright.
