10 Major Mistakes WWE Has Made In 2014

If you hate wrestling in 2014, this is where it all went wrong.

There€™s bound to be mistakes when booking a wrestling company. A continued run of success without a variety of errors just isn€™t possible. Some wrestlers don€™t receive the push they should, others are over-pushed, storylines are rushed, or are just poorly executed. On top of that, in this modern era, WWE has five hours of cable TV to provide every single week. Throw in a couple more for their network and international markets and mistakes are bound to happen. Sure, the company makes a solid 10 mistakes every Monday night, (I mean, could anyone argue that putting Kathy Lee Gifford on Raw was a good idea?) but what big errors have WWE made over the past 12 months? While each entry may not sound that lethal by itself, when they start to pile up, that€™s when the real trouble begins. Just look at the AWA, WCW, ECW, and countless other promotions for proof of only having so many bad ideas before it all comes crashing down. Now the sky isn€™t falling on WWE anytime soon, but this is a warning that what they€™re doing isn€™t working. The ratings have been reaching year lows recently. Somebody in charge needs to be paying more attention. So what has brought WWE to its current state? Here are the 10 biggest mistakes the company has made this past year.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
