10 Major Positives To Take From WWE Hell In A Cell 2015

7. Kevin Owens Still Wears Gold

Kevin Owens' defense of the Intercontinental Championship against Ryback was handed the graveyard shift at Hell in a Cell, used as a buffer between the WWE Championship match and the Lesnar vs. Undertaker main event. This gave the contest a truncated feel, with the resulting match more like a television bout than a pay-per-view clash. However, there's a major plus point to take away from the match, given that Owens still holds the title. Since his blockbuster debut match on the main roster, in which he scored a rare clean victory over John Cena, Owens has been one of the most dominant heels in the WWE. The Intercontinental Championship has helped to legitimise Owens, particularly given his promos that define him as a prizefighter who works for money and prestige rather than honour. With that in mind, he needs the title far more than Ryback does at this point in time. Owens should hold on to the Intercontinental Title right up until he is ready in the eyes of WWE to ascend to the main event picture. Having apparently put his program with Ryback to bed, he should move on to a feud with a different opponent in order to put together more entertaining matches.
