9. Becky Lynch Positioned As Underdog Challenger
It was initially something of a concern to see Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch announced for the TLC kick-off show. These two women are among the best performers in WWE of any gender and deserve to be on the main cards. However, they made the most of the time they were given in this slot to produce a solid match, which culminated in Banks winning after interference from the other members of Team BAD. Lynch was terrific as the babyface in this match and was robbed of her valuable victory by the heels' nefarious tactics. She made another appearance later during the main show, after Charlotte used typical Flair methods to retain her Divas Championship against Paige in a match that seemed to constitute a double turn. Lynch met with her friend backstage and expressed disgust at the champion's methods. Charlotte defended herself, claiming that it was better for them if she was the champion, regardless of how she did it. The endgame here would appear to be a feud between Lynch and a fully heel Charlotte, with her father at her side. Lynch would excel in that role and could produce tremendous matches with her former friend. This is a program that could make the Road to WrestleMania a very entertaining time in the women's division.
