Jesse Ventura was worried by the lack of financial support for pro wrestlers in the 80s and made a speech before his colleagues prior to WrestleMania II, claiming that the most beneficial move that they could make would be to unionize. Jesse received a phone call from a furious Vince McMahon the following day, which included threats of Ventura's dismissal. Ventura was devastated that somebody within the locker room instantly went running to Vince. He recently stated that the worst thing you could be in the 80s era of wrestling was an office stooge. The incident got buried under the carpet for a brief period, but resurfaced years later during a federal lawsuit between Ventura and McMahon. The WWE Chairman was asked under oath who the culprit was that ratted Ventura out all those years ago, and with the no hesitation McMahon simply responded Hulk Hogan. Hogan was actually a good friend of Venturas up until that moment; the pair have not spoken since. Hogan claimed that Venture is full of sh*t and blasted the accusations as being embellished, going on to say "Jesse has worked on these stories for 30 years. Jesse knows just a little bit about a whole lot of things. You should have asked him about Plato's Retreat, when he'd come to New York and him and his wife would do all the wife swapping.
