Ric Flair€™s legacy and impact within the wrestling industry is unquestionable. In fact, the WWE even dedicated their 2008 post-WrestleMania show to The Nature Boy€™s career, which featured a whole host of big names entering the ring and paying their respect to The Dirtiest Player in the Game. Frankly, it is impossible to deny Flair€™s immense popularity within the business, that being said, the adoration of the former Horseman is not echoed by everybody. There has always been a darker side to The Nature Boy, which has seen the wrestler have a variety of confrontations both in and out of the business. In his personal life, he has fallen upon some hard times; including a number of divorces, lawsuits and assorted legal battles. These were problems that would lead to Flair making a return to the business after his emotional Raw send-off, cheapening his tribute show somewhat. As far as heat within the industry goes, backstage politics and inflated egos have led to a lot of friction between Ric Flair and countless other wrestlers. Take Flair€™s heat with Hogan for instance, the pair had a whole heap of problems over a twenty five year period due to a clash of pride. Flair even touched upon some of the more personal issues he had with The Hulkster in his autobiography. Within the book, The Sixty Minute Man reflected on a particular segment between Hogan and his son, David, which would see a heel Hogan repeatedly attack Flair€™s boy with a leather whip. The Nature Boy furiously proclaimed €œHe whipped David like a dog.
