Tyler Reks (real name: Gabriel Tuft) is a former WWE wrestler who has probably already faded from the memory of all best the most dedicated of fans. He was never able to rise any further than the lower mid-card, despite having a unique look and being an adequate worker. Reks asked for his release in August of 2012 due to his desire to retire from the wrestling business and spend more time with his family. This former talents beef with John Cena stems from the way he was allegedly treated regarding the use of his finisher, The Burning Hammer, which is a variation of the Death Valley Driver similar to Cenas Attitude Adjustment. Reks claims that Cena pulled his aside and spoke to him as if he were a child, asking why he was using that move and who approved it. Tyler said he had been using the move on TV for months and none of management had ever had a problem with it. Unsurprisingly, Reks adopted a different finisher after that conversation (although its not like he was using finishers on guys often anyway). Tyler also claims that the angle behind Awesome Truth was stolen from he and Curt Hawkins, and that Cena had a hand in that as well. Its impossible to know if theres any validity to this claim or if its just sour grapes from a guy who feels he was held down by the upper echelon, but at this point in his life Reks has nothing to lose by speaking out so theres probably some truth to what he says.
