9. Mil Muertes Vs. Matanza
From a battle in the skies to what would surely be a more grounded affair, the two darkest forces in Lucha Underground will surely come together at some point. Much like Godzilla and King Kong, Alien and Predator, the Tyrannosaurus and the Spinosaurs and other opposing monsters of entertainment lore, the prospect of seeing the two big bads throwing bombs is tantalising to say the least. Of course, one caveat here is that Matanza may not ever feature as an in-ring competitor. Heck, we aren't even sure if he is human at this point. What we do know is that the man whose name translates as 'slaughter' is the brother of Dario Cueto, and was locked up for the majority of the first season before seemingly being given his own temple in which to slaughter unwitting opponents. Mil Muertes is the man of a thousand deaths, but Matanza is a literal slaughterer. This fight might just be too much for Muertes.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
