10 Matches We Need To See At WWE Hell In A Cell 2016
4. Raw Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (C) Vs. Cesaro & Sheamus
By defeating The Club at Clash of Champions, The New Day have passed 400 days as Raw Tag Team Champions. They've beaten just about every team on the show, and so WWE needs to create some new teams for them to take on.
It's for that reason, potentially, that the company decided to go with an out-of-left-field ending to the Sheamus-Cesaro best of seven series. At Clash of Champions, Sheamus and Cesaro fought to a double DQ, ending their series in a draw. The following evening, Mick Foley declared that they would both get the "championship opportunity" promised to the winner, and it would be a shot at the Raw Tag Team Titles.
Cesaro and Sheamus are certainly new contenders (well, except for all those shots Sheamus got with the League of Nations), but the whole idea seems a little half-baked. The best thing to happen would be Sheamus walking out on Cesaro during the match, leaving him to get pinned by The New Day. That way, The New Day's title reign continues, and Sheamus and Cesaro can have another match to actually end their program.
