10 Mind-Blowing Wrestler Salaries WWE Couldn't Afford

10. Bob Sapp - Salary Expectations $1 Million And Part Time Schedule

It seems like a lifetime ago now, but Bob Sapp was a humongous star in the mid 2000's. He was over like crazy in Japan, where he fought in MMA at the same time as working in pro wrestling. Such was the level of his fame, that he appeared in a range of japanese media, including his very own CD release. With all that in mind, he was earning significantly more than WWE could've afforded to pay him at the height of his fame. Vince McMahon did go in with an offer in 2006, but Sapp was only willing to do a deal if it accommodated his MMA fights and movie projects. WWE wouldn't allow that and walked away, as they only had interest in full time stars at that moment in time. It's a shame in many ways, as Sapp had a great look and was the archetypal WWE Vince McMahon kind of wrestler. But at a million dollars minimum and part time demands, it was a deal WWE couldn't afford to make.
