10 Misconceptions About AEW You Probably Believe

7. They Just Rely On Ex-WWE Guys

Darby Allin
AEW

Deep breath.

Hulk Hogan was an "AWA guy" or a "NJPW guy", Vince McMahon built his monopoly by using "guys" who got over in different territories, Steve Austin and Triple H were "WCW rejects" who didn't get over in an incompetent organisation despite holding enormous potential, AEW would be moronic not to sign available talent that fans connect with just because another promotion had no clue what to do with them, signing and valuing talents is a good recruitment tool with which to recruit more drawing talent down the line, signing those talents is an effective means of motivating existing talent to fight for their spot, Tony Khan doesn't worship performers because they once worked for WWE TNA-style and if anything casts them as the versions of the performers they should have been all along, Bryan Danielson doesn't do the Yes chant even if it would be very easy, Hangman Page, Sammy Guevara, Dr. Britt Baker, Jade Cargill and Jurassic Express never did anything notable in WWE and look at what links them, there is no such thing as a WWE guy because only a handful of money-drawing acts came up exclusively in the developmental system...

There.

That should do it, but it won't. The brainwashed mind will believe what it wants to believe against all reason.

It's another argument to collectively block these people into oblivion so that they can no longer influence the discourse.
