Existing at the other end of the WWE spectrum were guys like Tyler Reks.

As foolish as it seemed for The Ultimate Warrior to go head-to-head with McMahon, at least he had that kind of clout. By contrast, Reks was far lower down on the totem pole, and didn't really have any say in the company.

In an interview with Wrestling Inc following his WWE release in 2012, Reks told a story about a run-in he had with none other than face of the company John Cena years prior.

By the time Tyler was set to make his debut on the main roster in 2009, Cena was already an established top-tier star. Butting heads with him was not advised.

Problems started when Cena took umbrage with the finishing move Reks was using. It was deemed to be somewhat similar to Cena's Attitude Adjustment, and he warned Reks to change it. After things had blown over, Reks used the move once more, which naturally angered Big Match John.

This didn't directly lead to his dismissal, Reks wasn't released until a few years later, but it didn't endear him to one of WWE's top stars. That was a mistake and his cards were likely marked from that point on.
