10 Mistakes WWE Can't Afford To Make With Hell In A Cell 2016

3. Put Kevin Owens Vs. Seth Rollins On Last

Mick Foley gaffed by announcing that Charlotte and Sasha would headline Hell In A Cell the other week, but retracted his statement the following day. Speculation remains, however, and recent reports suggest that WWE will either have the women wrestle first or last, and that Vince McMahon is the only party who doesn’t like the idea of Sasha vs. Charlotte as HIAC’s true main event.

If they don’t wrestle last, Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins will surely take their place. As good as they are, KO and Seth don’t have half as much heat as Sasha and Charlotte, whose rivalry has literally been building for years. Putting the Universal Title match last will represent a big disappointment, particularly if the women steal the show earlier in the evening, and likely kill the crowd’s interest.

WWE can’t get away with dangling a Sasha vs. Charlotte main event like a carrot, then pulling it away. HIAC takes place in Sasha’s hometown, Boston, so the crowd’s investment is already going to be through the roof. Nobody else is going to be able to match Sasha’s popularity or Charlotte’s heat on Sunday night, so why even risk letting Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins wrestle last?

Here’s hoping Mick Foley’s initial announcement was the truth, because it’s the only option that makes sense.
