10 MMA Fighters And Their WWE Counterparts

1. Georges St. Pierre - Bret Hart

The best Canadian fighter of course holds a lot in common with the best Canadian professional wrestler, and it's not just a shared country of birth! The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be - that's Bret Hart, but it easily applies to the man best known by his initials, GSP. Considered one of the top three fighters of all-time alongside Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko (Jon Jones deserves to be in the conversation as well, mind you), GSP was the excellence of execution in the MMA world. And with Silva disgraced due to multiple failed tests for steroids, Jones stripped of his title due to hitting a pregnant women with his car while allegedly under the influence of drugs/alcohol, and Emelianenko never having fought within the confines of the UFC or against some of the biggest names stateside (Couture, Lesnar) during his career, a case can be made for GSP simply being the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsYHFi6OmGA Further, both are skilled technicians, the best of the best technically at what they do. GSP walked away from MMA over a year ago with no unavenged losses on his record (and only two total). Bret Hart reached the very top of the pro wrestling world. Both were huge draws at the box office. The comparisons go on and on for these two legends, but it's clear that GSP is MMA's Bret Hart.
