10 MMA Stars Who Dated Their Coaches
5. Meisha Tate & Bryan Caraway
Miesha Tate is a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion who was known for her wrestling and never say die attitude. Her iconic feud with Ronda Rousey helped put women's mixed martial arts on the map. After a decision loss to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 in 2016, Tate officially retired from the sport.
Throughout her career, 'Cupcake' was in a high-profile relationship with her cornerman and training partner, Bryan Caraway. The couple was featured prominently in the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter, in which Tate coached opposite Ronda Rousey.
Caraway, a former UFC fighter, has had a solid career in his own right. At one point, he cracked the top-five of the promotion's bantamweight rankings.
The two were an item for roughly a decade and had met while studying at Central Washington University. Though the details surrounding their breakup are sparse, the pair split sometime in 2017.
Tate would go on to date another MMA fighter, and teammate, Johnny Nunes. The couple have a daughter together and are expecting their second child in June 2020.
